I can't attend all events, what should I do?

​

- Don't worry - if you go back to your invitation which was sent via Greenenvelope, you can select the events you cannot attend. Please note that the farewell on Monday will not start until 1pm and is a very informal event. We understand that some guests will be leaving early on Monday, please do not worry, you will be missed.

How do I let you know about my dietary requirements?

​

- If you go back to your invitation which was sent via Greenenvelope, you can let us know of any dietary requirements via the form. Alternatively, please email us using the contact button above. 

​

Why do you need to know where I am staying?

​

- We will be leaving a token of gratitude for you in your room and, if you are staying in a recommended hotel, will be providing transport to the events on the Saturday & Sunday. We would be grateful if you let us know which hotel you are staying at so this can be coordinated. You can do this by going back to your invitation which was sent via Greenenvelope and completing the form. Alternatively, please email us using the contact button above.

I am not staying at one of the recommended hotels but would like to book the pre-arranged transport?

​

- If you would like to book the pre-arranged transport for the events on Saturday & Sunday, you will need to be at one of the recommended hotels at the pick-up time. To book a spot please email us using the contact button above.

I would like to arrange a driver and a car?

​

- If you would like to book a reliable and friendly car service, please contact Hugo via whatsapp on +351 918 688 213 and quote "shaleeza&iman" for special rates.

What is the weather likely to be like?​

​

- Weather conditions can be variable. The days are likely to be hot but it can get quite chilly after sunset. 

​

What does the dress code "traditional" mean?​

​

- We want everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable. For the Welcome Party, we have suggested Traditional dress or Cocktail / Dressy Casual. If you would like to dress in South Asian clothing, we recommend you look at Next, ASOS and Amazon, all of which have a great choice of both ladies and mens South Asian Wear. Western wear is also welcomed.

What does the dress code "destination formal" mean?​

​

- Resort chic, light weight formal attire with plenty of glamour. Most importantly be comfortable! For example:

Lightweight linen, Blazer with nice chinos, Long or mid-length flowy dresses with light colours or florals, Wedges, or heels for women.

​

What colours should I not wear?​

​

- You can wear any colours you wish but we would be grateful if ladies avoided white on the wedding day .

​

Are children permitted at wedding events?​

​

- Due to guest number  restrictions, we are only able to extend an invite to the children of our close family who are part of the wedding party.

 

We are travelling with our children and would like to book a nanny.​

​

- We recommend the agency Nanny Portugal based in Cascais, which provides bilingual qualified nannies. Please email them directly here.

​

I would like to get my hair & make-up done?​

​

- We have arranged for a team of stylists to be present at the wedding venue, Penha Longa Resort & Spa on the Saturday and Sunday. Please email geral@bvotion to make a booking and see bvotion.com for the range of treatments available.

We would like to buy the couple a gift?​

​

- We humbly request no boxed gifts on the day please. However, should you wish to make a contribution to our honeymoon or future as Mr & Mrs Askari, we would be very grateful. You can view our registry here.
